After CareHere at Sellars Funeral Home we believe that aftercare is an important part of the healing process for families that have lost a loved one. Once the funeral process is over, one of the ways that we stay in touch with our families is through our Planned Transitions Careletter. This is a letter that our families will receive once a month for twelve months. In this Care letter, families will receive information that will help them deal with grief during the holidays, discussing grief with children and a helpful checklist of activities that must be completed following the death of a loved one. Honoring Those Who Served The rendering of Military Funeral Honors is a way to show the Notion’s deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended our country. This ceremonial paying of respect is the final demonstration a grateful Nation can provide to the veteran’s families. www.militaryfuneralhonors.osd.mil A Message from Social Security Your funeral director is helping the Social Security office by giving you this information about Social Security benefits. If the deceased was receiving benefits, you need to contact us to report the death. If you think you may be eligible for survivor’s benefits, you should contact us to apply. www.ssa.gov 1-800-772-1213
