Obituary of Robert Lee Moore, Sr.

Moore, Sr., Robert Lee, born December 17, 1949 in Lebanon, TN and released from his pain on Saturday, August 8, 2015. His life is a beautiful memory; his absence is a silent grief. Mr. Moore was the son of the late Edd H. and Rubye K. Moore. He was raised in Cathage, TN and was a resident of Mt. Juliet for the past 34 years. Robert grew up in Smith County and then graduated from Tennessee Tech. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He worked as a design engineer in the tool and die business for more than 40 years. His only reprieve from hard work was his love for Harbor Island Yacht Club. He loved serving as harbor master, being on the race committee boat, serving as pyrotechnic wizard of the 4th of July fireworks presentations, and general rabble rousing when appropriate. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna; son, Robert Lee (Kim) Moore, Jr; the lights of his life, grandchildren, Robert Colton Moore, Wyatt Lee Moore, Grace Marie Moore all of Mt. Juliet; daughter (always his baby girl), Jamie Elizabeth Moore of New York City; nieces, Kristina Ebbert, Anna Davis; nephews, Tad Davis, Alex Davis, Matthew Moore, Stuart Moore; great-nephews, Mitch and Reed Ebbert. Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Edd H. Moore, Jr. of Mt. Juliet. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Brian Hemphill, the Tennessee Oncology Chemotherapy nurses who took care of “Robert Moore, Sr. Sr.”, Dr. Melissa Johnson of the Sarah Cannon Research Institute for her kindness and compassion, Carol and Guy Walenga, who were always available for any task great or small, and last but not least, the family would like to extend their love and gratitude to our “Summit Family”.
