Obituary of Lois Key Carter

Lois Key Carter, age 92 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Delwyn Fryer and Bob Snell officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 10th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 11th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mrs. Carter was born July 17, 1923 in Sumner County, TN, daughter of the late Fonzie and Stella Tucker Key. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Carter; daughter, Mavis Carter Wilson, sisters, Chlorene Carter and Launa Newbern. She is survived by grandsons, Chris Wilson (Elizabeth) of Baxter and Matthew Wilson (Rachel) of Castalian Springs; great grandchildren, Rosalyn Grace Wilson, Evelyn Carter Wilson and Parker Owen Wilson; sister, Wilma Street of Portland; son-in-law, Johnny Wilson of Gallatin; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carter retired from Genesco and was a member of Gallatin First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Gallatin First United Methodist Church, 149 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN 37066.
